PMC15 SUBxbd enhances PMC15’s LF headroom and consistency with a matching 15-inch driver, ATL design, and seamless 1000W DSP integration for XBD performance.
The PMC15 SUBxbd is designed to improve the low-frequency performance of the PMC15 active three-way monitor, creating a PMC15 XBD system that delivers greater headroom and more consistent LF response throughout the listening space. Flexible configuration options include vertical tower or horizontal side-by-side setups, with support for both free-standing and soffit-mounted installations, allowing seamless integration into a wide range of control room designs.
At its core, the PMC15 SUBxbd employs the same 15-inch long-throw bass driver as the PMC15 master monitor, preserving transient accuracy and tonal coherence throughout the system. This driver is housed within PMC’s latest Advanced Transmission Line enclosure, incorporating LaminairX™ airflow technology to reduce turbulence and suppress unwanted artefacts, even at high SPLs. The result is deeper low-frequency extension with exceptionally low harmonic distortion across the operating range.
Power, signal management, and system control are handled by the existing PMC15 master36 electronics platform, eliminating the need for additional amplification. The configurable amplifier delivers up to 1000 W while retaining the platform’s full feature set, including transparent excursion limiting for driver protection and precise room-optimisation equalisation. System setup and control are managed via a standard LAN connection using SoundAlign2, PMC’s browser-based control interface.
