Flagship PMC10-4 main monitor delivers extreme headroom, immense controlled bass, forensic detail, scalable power, and uncompromising reference accuracy for studios.

The PMC10-4 is a no-compromise, ground-up main monitor designed for the world’s most demanding recording and mixing environments. Drawing on the architectural philosophy and visual language of the iconic QB1—developed in close collaboration with Capitol Studios engineers—the PMC10-4 advances the concept of a true reference main.

The PMC10-4 delivers extraordinary dynamic headroom and profound low-frequency extension, combined with exceptional resolution, finesse, and micro-detail. Four in-house, ultra-long-throw 10-inch low-frequency drivers operate in perfect unison, feeding the latest generation of PMC’s ATL™ Advanced Transmission Line technology. Enhanced with LaminairX™ airflow venting, the result is bass that is immense in scale, yet fast, controlled, and tonally precise.

The low-frequency system is seamlessly integrated around PMC’s proven mid–high architecture: a precision 34mm soft-dome tweeter and the PMC75v3 midrange, both enhanced by PMC’s proprietary n-compass™ waveguide. This ensures controlled dispersion, unwavering phase coherence, and tonal consistency across the listening area—allowing decisions to translate with confidence, even at extreme SPLs.

Each PMC10-4 cabinet is driven and managed by a Master36 DSP/Amplifier unit, where precision DSP underpins performance. Optimised crossovers, transparent system protection, and comprehensive room EQ are delivered via PMC’s SoundAlign2 interface, allowing precise alignment without compromising signal integrity. With each LF driver capable of consuming up to 1000W, two drivers are powered directly from the Master36, while the remaining pair are driven by an additional power20 amplifier. Together, the system delivers an effortless 5600W of high-headroom Class-D amplification per channel. The electronics are unified via PMC’s proprietary masterlink connection, with a discreet illuminated logo beneath the midrange driver providing system status feedback.

Whether deployed as a single cabinet or augmented with its dedicated XBD extension, the PMC10-4 stands as a monumental main monitoring solution—delivering visceral impact, forensic detail, vast SPL capability, and uncompromising low-frequency authority for the world’s most elite control rooms.

TAKE CONTROL

SOUNDALIGN digital interface
The SoundAlign2™ web interface offers intuitive and responsive control of our near, mid, and main active DSP monitors, as well as their matching subwoofers. Each monitor speaker has a built-in web server. You can access it over a wired Ethernet connection, using any standard web browser on a PC or Mac system.
The new SoundAlign2 software will be released alongside our new main monitor systems. Existing SoundAlign users can access the updated control software via our Firmware Downloads page, ensuring a streamlined upgrade path to the enhanced SoundAlign2 platform. Notifications regarding the release date will be communicated via email and our social media channels. ABOUT SOUNDALIGN
One of the keys to our legendary natural, uncoloured sound is our Advanced Transmission Line (ATL) bass-loading. ATL uses energy generated by the bass unit in a much more intelligent and efficient way than speaker designs based on ported or sealed boxes. Our Laminair airflow technology further enhances ATL and improves definition, timing and eradicates unwanted air noise.
