PMC10-4 SUB delivers powerful, ultra-low-distortion LF performance with four long-throw drivers, scalable 10–4 XBD integration, and precise 3kW DSP-controlled amplification.

The PMC10-4 SUB is a dual-purpose product that serves either as an independent low-frequency subwoofer to supplement any PMC monitoring system or to augment a master PMC10-4 full-range monitor, creating the twin-cabinet PMC10-4 XBD system. Like its sibling models, the PMC10-4 SUB shares the latest-generation ATL™ Advanced Transmission Line cabinet with LaminairX™ airflow venting.

Featuring four innovative, in-house and custom-designed 10-inch bass drivers which feature a large excursion range to deliver an extended low-frequency performance across a remarkably wide bandwidth, resulting in ultra-low distortion at all monitoring levels.

When deployed as part of a twin-cabinet XBD system, the PMC10-4 SUB is powered by dual power20 amplifiers and seamlessly controlled by the existing master36.

In a standalone configuration, the 10-4 SUB is managed by the master36 DSP/Amplifier, delivering 1,000 watts to each of two bass drivers, while a linked power20 amplifier supplies a further 1,000 watts to each of the remaining pair—ensuring exceptional control, headroom, and low-frequency precision.

Both electronics packages employ ultra-transparent Class-D amplification, while the integrated DSP within the master36 provides transparent excursion limiting for system protection, along with precise room-optimisation EQ and digitally optimised high- and low-pass filters tailored specifically to the PMC10-4 SUB’s configuration and drivers.

The master36 accepts both analogue and digital inputs and can be controlled over a standard LAN via the SoundAlign2 browser-based interface. An illuminated front-panel logo provides a clear, at-a-glance indication of system status.

THE SOUNDALIGN² INTERFACE

TAKE CONTROL

SOUNDALIGN digital interface
The SoundAlign2™ web interface offers intuitive and responsive control of our near, mid, and main active DSP monitors, as well as their matching subwoofers. Each monitor speaker has a built-in web server. You can access it over a wired Ethernet connection, using any standard web browser on a PC or Mac system.
The new SoundAlign2 software will be released alongside our new main monitor systems. Existing SoundAlign users can access the updated control software via our Firmware Downloads page, ensuring a streamlined upgrade path to the enhanced SoundAlign2 platform. Notifications regarding the release date will be communicated via email and our social media channels. ABOUT SOUNDALIGN
One of the keys to our legendary natural, uncoloured sound is our Advanced Transmission Line (ATL) bass-loading. ATL uses energy generated by the bass unit in a much more intelligent and efficient way than speaker designs based on ported or sealed boxes. Our Laminair airflow technology further enhances ATL and improves definition, timing and eradicates unwanted air noise.
