"I have a pair of IB2s. i bought them almost 20 years ago. They still sound astonishing. The sound is literally breath taking. we live in Madrid in Spain and i notice from the friends we have that top HIFI is not as important to Spanish generally speaking as it can be to many Brits. So when our Spanish friends hear the IB2s they really cannot believe it and they all think i am not quite telling the truth when i say they are virtually 20 years old. Its true though. I am now using these IB2s as front left and right in a cinema system and just have received the IB2 se centre to complete the front of my system. The sound now with three PMCs working together is genuinely cinema like. the power, the clarity, the voices, the drums and high notes. Its all there and makes even watching SKY news on Youtube an engaging experience. I played in an orchestra in my youth and later in a band. the PMCs (powered by Chord) give me something close to the real experience of sitting in the middle of an orchestra. How the new works with the old is also seemless. I use a subwoofer too, at low volume, but how it helps the soundstage of the PMCs is just wonderful. My wife explains the physics of this. I just enjoY"
