The LB1 has achieved legendary status amongst the world’s most critical professionals.

The LB1 has achieved legendary status amongst the world's most critical professionals such as the BBC and worlds audiophiles alike. Over its 12 years reign as the benchmark monitor it has undergone calculated upgrades ensuring its premiere status and unassailable performance levels. The LB1 Signature pushes the limit of what can be achieved from a diminutive enclosure using all the latest TL technologies gleaned from groundbreaking models such as the AML1.

The LB1 was the first compact transmission line monitor developed by PMC back at the beginning of the Nineties. Shortly after PMC installed its first set of the massive BB5 monitors at BBC Maida Vale studios, the LB1 emerged as the Mini-me sibling to these monster monitors.

And the LB1 is still in production, largely unchanged and selling in impressive numbers. It is used in applications that require a reference quality, full range monitor able to fit, due to its tall and thin profile, into almost any work space.

The LB1 is equipped with PMC’s standard 27mm silk soft-dome tweeter and a high power 110mm woofer, fitted with a massive 75mm voice coil.

The LB1 exhibits the characteristic PMC sonics of extended low-frequency response, smooth transition to the mid-range – free of the normal artefacts of a reflex cabinet design, which reveals the stunning transparency, clarity and resolution of the PMC mid-range and HF.
