2.0 Personal data we collect
We are committed to protecting the privacy of all our customers and visitors to our website. We collect data directly in order to provide better product offerings and customer service. The type of data collected varies depending on your engagement with PMC. All the data we may collect though webforms are detailed in sections 2.2, 2.3 & 2.4.
2.1 Site visitation tracking
This site uses Google Analytics (GA) to track user interaction. We primarily use this data to determine the number of people using our site and to establish which pages are the most popular. This is to better understand how users find and use our web pages and to see their journey through the website.
Information we collect via GA includes the use of Demographics and Interest reporting. We use this data to better understand our website users and enables us to develop interesting content more relevant to all visitors.
Although GA records data such as your geographical location, device, internet browser and operating system, none of the information we collect personally identifies you to us. GA makes use of cookies, details of which can be found on Google’s developer guides. Our website uses the analytics.js implementation of GA.
Disabling cookies on your internet browser will stop GA from tracking any part of your visit to pages within this website. You can also visit Google Analytics currently available opt-outs for the web.
We consider Google to be a third-party data processor. All data collected by Google analytics for this site, is stored for 38 months.
2.2 Product Registrations
In order to activate a PMC warranty, we require customers to complete the product registration form. This is due to the following reasons:
Customer Service: Allows us to provide a better service for you in the future by knowing which products you own. This also speeds up the process in the unlikely event of a repair.
Product updates: Allows us to easily contact you in the event of any important product updates.
Tips & Tricks: Should you choose to receive email communications, this allow us to send helpful tips and hints about getting the most from your speakers
Note: Those who choose not to ‘opt-in’ to receive email communications, will only be contacted in the unlikely occasion of a crucial product update or recall.
2.3 Service Requests
All service request forms submitted are stored on the website and our internal service micro-site creating records of our service department. We collect only the relevant information to firstly register a service request and then attend to the products issues in a quick and efficient manner. Information collected is detailed in section 3.2.
This data is stored as a product servicing record for any future product or customer support requirements and is utilised in new product development.
2.4 Contact forms – Contact Us & Ask a Question
The submission of a webform via either the ‘Contact us’ page or ‘Ask a question’ tab on product pages, results in the information being emailed to us via the Simple Mail Transfer Protocol (SMTP).
Our SMTP servers are protected by TLS (sometimes known as SSL) meaning email content is encrypted before sending and decrypted by our local computers and devices when it is received.
We collect this data to allow for a quick and relevant response to any specific query.
The information provided through either webform is only processed and stored if consent to email communications is given.
3.0 How we store your personal data
All completed webforms detailed in section 2, will be stored within this website’s database.
If applicable, the data is transferred to our Customer Relationship Management System (CRM System). Details of data type and how long it is stored is detailed in section 3.1.

This website is hosted on servers run within a seven-state-of-the-art data centres, which are located in Europe and the USA.
