PMC wins Diapason d’Or Hifi Award

PMC’s twenty5.23 loudspeakers have been recognised with the awarding of the prestigious “Diapason d’Or Hifi Award” by classical music magazine Diapason at a ceremony in Paris last night.

Usually reserved for classical music recordings, the Diapason awards have recently been expanded to include hi-fi equipment that represents the ‘best-in-class’ products available in the French market.

Competing against speakers costing nine times the price of the twenty5.23s, the judges felt that the PMC speakers were the worthy winners, adding yet another independent award to this very well-regarded model.

Collecting the award from the editor of Diapason magazine, Dave Frost, PMC’s Business Development Manager, said, “The twenty5.23 has once again proved itself more than capable of beating loudspeakers far costlier. The competition in the loudspeakers category read like a who’s who of the very best speakers available and so we are absolutely delighted that this, our most compact floorstanding speaker, has come out on top in these hugely admired awards.”

The PMC twenty5.23 is a two-way loudspeaker that features a number of proprietary PMC technologies, such as the well known Advanced Transmission Line and new Laminar aerodynamic vent. The combined effect of which is to create a smooth laminar airflow as the low frequency energy exits the transmission line, with a faster, higher definition bass with accurate timing and dynamics, without any unwanted air noise. The twenty5.23 continues the PMC tradition of providing studio reference quality sound for the home, from a elegant, slimeline enclosure.
