The cor integrated is an amplifier that adds no sonic character of its own to the music. The role of the amplifier, like the company’s speakers, is to reproduce the music exactly as it is meant to be heard.

The cor integrated is an amplifier that adds no sonic character of its own to the music. It follows exactly the same design ethos for high resolution playback as used in the creation of all PMC’s loudspeakers, namely musicality, transparency and neutrality, where nothing is added and nothing is taken away. The role of the amplifier, like the company’s speakers, is to reproduce the music exactly as it is meant to be heard.

Designed and hand-built by PMC in the UK, the cor - the dictionary definition of which is: (anatomy) heart; (figuratively) soul, mind - is an integrated amplifier that works entirely in the analogue domain.

Every element of the cor has been developed with purity of sound at the top of the criteria list. The four unbalanced RCA analogue inputs are joined by one pair of balanced XLR inputs and a set of direct inputs that connect straight to the power amplifier. The cor integrated does not feature any digital inputs and is unashamedly an analogue amplifier for the purist.

All the components were specified without compromise after extensive listening tests, including the black PCBs and the volume control, which, together with the tone and balance faders, are motorised using the finest technology from professional mixing consoles, and are remote controllable. This provides flexibility to achieve the perfect sound on every track, without moving from your armchair.
Hear all the magic of music, with the cor integrated amplifier.

"If you’re looking for a top-class integrated amplifier, the Cor deserves a place near the top of your list. Highly recommended."

"In combination with my twenty5 23 it’s incredible. Connected AMP’s of + 10000€ but the COR is in my opinion the best i’ve heard. Again thanks to the PMC crew and in particular Errem and Ben!!!! Great job guys! Cheers and greetz from Belgium. : ) "

"What an amp.!! I knew my Fact 8s could sound much better but couldn’t afford a really expensive amp. Now I don’t have to. This amp has transformed both CD and FM sound without costing silly money. The amp just isn’t there, just the crystal clear music. "

"Best amplifier I have ever heard. "

"I am delighted with the Fact 8 loudspeakers I acquired a couple of years ago. They are incredibly neutral and revealing speakers as well as being looking good. My latest purchase is the Cor integrated amplifier which won we over after only a short trial session. It sounds somewhat clichéd but, compared to my previous amplifier (which was no bad design) it lifted a veil. The sound stage was better defined with more air around the instruments and more sparkle without any trace of hardness. Having got used to the sound of the Cor I didn’t want to go back to my old amplifier and placed an order for the Cor straight away! I realised I had stopped listening to the Hi-Fi and, instead, was absorbed in the music, which is the ultimate accolade for any Hi-Fi product in my opinion. "

"I first heard this at the Festival of Sound and requested an audition from Stone Audio the next day using my Krell CD 280 player, mains lead and balanced interconnects. I have Sonus Faber Cremona speakers (all leads are “Transparent”) although the audition was with PMC speakers. I mainly play classical music (esp. classical piano), jazz and more “gentle” popular music from earlier decades. I auditioned the system with 6 CDs, representing the above. The sound is awesome! The nearest I have heard to analog in a very long time – even a re-mastered Carpenters CD sounded just how I remember it from 40 years ago! The only downside is that now I shall have to upgrade my Bluesound Node with something that costs about ten times the price, in order to do the “Cor” justice. I have other priorities over the next couple of years which is probably just as well, since the streaming world seems to be in a state of flux at the moment, with expensive systems that include a DAC and huge numbers of unneeded connections, storage system providers that have just ventured into the world of streaming (but with no DAC) and some streaming DACS that, apparently, work better if the same company’s streamer is used alongside – now that can’t be right! Anyway, I think the “Cor” is a really great product, which I imagine will get even better, once it has been run in. Well done PMC! "

"My cor is paired with GB1i speakers I’ve had since 2011 and sounds good to me! I use a Regards Saturn CD player, but right now I’m playing an MP3 file from my tablet via an Audioengine Bluetooth DAC, and it still sounds better than just about anyone else’s home system I’ve heard! "
