Join us at Studiocare in Liverpool on Thursday 24 September for an intimate mix masterclass with award-winning mixer Tom Longworth, supported by PMC. With just 30 places available, Tom will take guests inside his mix of Rachel Chinouriri’s “All I Ever Asked” featuring Sombr, breaking down the creative and technical decisions behind the record, with PMC professional monitoring providing the reference system for the evening.
After graduating from LIPA, Tom developed his craft as an in-house engineer and producer at Liverpool’s Parr Street Studios before establishing himself as a specialist mixer. His credits include work with Rachel Chinouriri, Sombr, David Guetta, 220 Kid, Sundara Karma, Gavin James and The Royston Club, and in 2025 he received the MPG Album of the Year award for his mix work on Rachel Chinouriri’s What A Devastating Turn Of Events.
For the masterclass, Tom will work through his mix of “All I Ever Asked” by Rachel Chinouriri featuring Sombr, revealing how the track was shaped and how individual production and mixing choices contribute to the finished record. The event was conceived specifically as a mix masterclass, rather than a conventional equipment demonstration.
PMC will support the event with the brand new PMC 10 XBD system, giving attendees the opportunity to hear the session on a large-scale reference system designed for critical professional work. Toby Ridley, PMC R&D Manager, will also be attending and available during the masterclass, adding insight into the design and engineering behind PMC’s professional monitoring systems.
The wider Studiocare facility will also feature PMC monitoring, with PMC6 and PMC6-2 models planned for additional demonstration spaces.
